Stanisław Batruch

   Stanisław Batruch born in November 1935 in Zagórze. Graduated from Liceum Ogólnokształcące (a secondary school) in Sanok and an undergraduate Studium Nauczycielskie in Rzeszów.
   In the years 1960-1966 studied painting in the studio of Professor Hanna Rudzka-Cybisowa, called the Grand Lady of the Polish Painting, at the Academy of Fine Arts.
   Simultaneously to his artistic career he started teaching, first at Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych (a secondary school of plastic arts) in Kraków, then at the Academy of Fine Arts, where he made it gradually through all the levels of the academic career to the nomination to the title of Professor, given to him in 1993 by the President of the Republic of Poland, Lech Wałęsa.
   Presently Professor Stanislaw Batruch is running a painting studio at the Graphics Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
   Married since 1974 to Wislawa Kłodzińska, a lawyer; since 1974 has a son Andrzej - a graduate of the Academy of Physical Education.
