Stanisław Brach

Born in 1972 in Gorlice, Poland, Professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw; since 2010, head at the Studio of Ceramics at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts Faculty of Sculpture. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts, class of Prof. Marian Konieczny (2000), and of the School of Ceramics in Łysa Góra (1987-1993). In 2014, he received a post-doctoral degree of doctor habilitatus in fine arts at the Cracow Academy. He is a winner of the 2011 Rector’s Award at his alma mater and the 2014 Ministry of Culture and National Heritage grant in arts for project Two Spaces. In 2016 he received a Recommendation Prize of the Taiwan Ceramics Biennale 2016, and his Flowing With Honey project fetched him a gold medal at the 45th Apimondia International Apicultural Congress in Istanbul, Turkey in 2017.

Stanisław Brach has organised dozens of solo and group shows, and participated in a number of plein-air projectsand international competitions, for example in Italy, Japan and Taiwan.

His works are in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Sculpture of the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko, the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy, the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum, Taiwan and the Art Palace in Lviv as well as in private collections.
