Bom in Kraków, she graduated in architecture from Kraków Politechnic, gualifaing as an architect in 1971. In 1975 she began her studies at the Academy of Fine Art in Kraków, and graduated in 1979. She has been working since 1974 at the Independent Workshop of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture at the department of Architecture, Kraków Politechnic. In 1986 she qualified to the position of lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. This entitied her to lecture in the theory of colour,composition and art. In the 1999 she passed the II stage of her professional gualifications as lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. This awarded by the Ministry of Art and Culture. Iwona Fischer-Zuziak has had 25 exhibition of her work, both in Poland and abroad. Her works can be seen in various private collections in Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, Canada and Italy.
